 Background Summary

I began teaching music to children in 1981 while at Cabrillo College while I completed 32 units of ECE training.  I continue to teach privately and for a variety of schools and organizations as well as leading teambuilding events for corporations.  In addition, I have performed live with members of the Grateful Dead, Hamza El Din, Zero and Steve Miller.  I play a number of instruments in addition to drumming and compose music and perform on occasion as a singer-songwriter.  My teaching style integrates both the cognitive as well as the creative aspects of playing music.

Director, Vallejo School Drum Programs – Training teacher aids and facilitating drumming groups at 9 different schools in Vallejo,  (2012- present)

Performer/Recording Artist – active local performer providing drum and percussion talent to numerous Bay Area bands (1986 – present)

Music Specialist – Doing regular classes at Tamalpais preschool, Twin Cities Community Preschool, The Redwoods Retirement Community and Children’s Playland in Sausalito (2011 – present)
